Artwork Guidelines
To ensure you receive the highest quality artwork and avoid any unnecessary delays to your project, please review our artwork guidelines below.
File Setup
- Use only the templates we provide.
- Do not alter any template settings, such as bleed, as they are optimised for our printers.
- Always use CMYK colour mode for all artwork. For more information, read this guide.
- For precise colour matching, specify the exact Pantone reference for any specific colours.
- Convert all text in your Illustrator file to outlines. This guide explains how to do this.
- Use vector logos where possible. Here’s a guide explaining why this is important.
File Submission
- Submit your artwork in a single packaged .zip file. For best practice, follow this guide.
- Include your Adobe Illustrator file (.ai) within the .zip file.
- Create a separate folder within the .zip file named “Links” and place all linked files (fonts and images) inside.
- Send your packaged .zip file to us through our WeTransfer.
- Use only .jpg or .psd files for linked images.
- Ensure image resolution is at least 150 pixels per inch (PPI). Find out more about PPI here.
Scale, File Size & PPI Guide
- Our templates are scaled down to 50% of the full print size.
- Bitmap artwork assets (such as images and photos) must have an image resolution of at least 150 pixels per inch (PPI).
- Providing lower than the recommended PPI will result in low quality and pixelated prints.
- If you don’t have high resolution assets, consider using upscaling to increase print quality. Here’s a guide explaining how to do this.
- Supplying your files at optimum resolution will maximise the efficiency of processing your project.
